WHAT A WEEK!

Hey Loves:

This week is very special because Rocket is lucky enough to have the opportunity to play @ the Red Bull Air Race in San Diego, this Thursday, May 1st!! The flier is below. I heard we're playing with some cool band called "cut copy" from Australia. Red bull is building a tent called "The Terminal" to host this show, which is located at located at 7th and Market downtown! It's all ages so listen up, SAN DIEGO! come see us play this Thursday :)

Also, I went to Coachella this weekend! The only reason I really went was to see Junkiexl who I collaborated with on a couple songs from his latest album called "Booming Back at You". We even did a cover of Siouxsie and The Banshee's "Cities in Dust". Listen to it on his Myspace page! Other highlights include seeing Steven Tyler and his entourage of 19 year old girlfriends, hanging out backstage with Butch Walker and Steven Mcdonald (from my fave band, Redd Kross!)! Also. Eating Funnel Cake and meeting Ben Gibbard are up there too. Other than that, it was rather hot and crowded. If you weren't there, you didn't miss much!

Some important things...!

1. We're gonna be on Fearless Music TV (Which is on FOX) this weekend, Saturday December 16th, at 1 am. This is our first real TV thingee so, please watch and enjoy. The show airs on Saturday nights at 1am on Fox 5 in NYC, and some other places, so check out the time and channel listings on www.fearlessmusic.tv/channels.html to find out when and where else it's gonna show.

Rocket Fans Needed for photo shoot!

NY based photographer, Marissa Kaiser (www.marissakaiser.com)
will be shooting a live ROCKET concert for Getty Images (www.gettyimages.com)
with 20 of their fans on a top floor parking garage in downtown LA on
either Sunday, October 15 or Monday, October, 16 from approx. 3p-10p.

We're looking for fans ages 16-26 (girls and guys) to cast for
the shoot and will be holding a Casting at The Chamberlain Hotel,
1000 Westmount Drive, West Hollywood /
90069, in the Rooftop Cabana. If chosen for the shoot you will receive
$150.

CASTING DATES are FRIDAY, October 6th / 3p-7p or SATURDAY, October 7th /
Noon-4p. Parking is available at the hotel ($12 valet) or 3 blocks away
near Sunset Plaza (take staircase down to Holloway and Westmount).
The casting is just a quick meet and greet and will take about 15-20
minutes.

9.22.06 // Spaceland Residency for October + Rancid + Fun

Hi kids!

We had a fantastic time on the first part of the SuicideGirls tour...thank you to everyone in Portland, Sacramento, Seattle and San Francisco who came and rocked out with us.

Some highlights:

- a FREE room at the St. Regis in SF! W never realized just how much we needed a plasma TV in the shower

- Tre from Green Day rockin' out on the side of the stage and remembering us from Warped Tour!

- Spending time with various members of Pretty Girls Make Graves, The Lashes, Vendetta Red, Papa Roach (no, seriously)...and of course THE SUICIDEGIRLS!

On our last day in Seattle we learned that we were the lucky recipients of the much-coveted SPACELAND *FREE* MONDAY NIGHT RESIDENCY FOR OCTOBER!

If you don't know what that means -- basically we play every Monday night in October (at 10:45 pm) at Club Spaceland in Silverlake...FOR FREE!

And lucky for you...there are FIVE MONDAYS in October. Rawk! And in the middle of all this? our opening gig for RANCID at the Henry Fonda Theatre on Hollywood Blvd, and also a big skate festival in Lake Tahoe. See you there!

4.17.06 // VEGAS galore.

Thanks to all who came out to support Rocket in Vegas! The shows were amazing and fun, and to everyone who danced with us and gave us some sort of drink, I think called "dragon's blood", you were pretty sweet too.

We'll be back in Vegas May 25th to play the Beauty Bar's one year anniversary show, which will be a blast!

As for this week, Rocket is invading Spaceland once again. This Saturday, april 22 @ 9:45 with the amazing girl band "Ex-girl" from Japan! Come on down and say hi.

April 25, We play The Echo with Time Again from Tim Armstrong's Hellcat Night, which should be awesome, but it will sell out! So hurry and buy tickets now. The show starts @ 9:00.
