When you think of Rocket think of driving along a Los Angeles beach in an open-top, bright pink Cadillac. Rocket is a concoction of fun, smiles, candy, bubblegum and broken hearts. Coquettishness meets bombast, kittens meet rattlesnakes; Rocket is the launching pad for a new generation of pop flounce.
The all-girl group mixes 60's girl band innocence with 80's hair metal bravado. Starting out as a threesome of Laurens signed to Teenacide records, they released their first album, "Too Hot to be Bothered" in the summer of 2004. Evolving in 2005 into a five-piece circus, their first-ever live show was a headlining, sold-out smash at the legendary Viper Room. Playing live shows throughout the Los Angeles area and beyond has only furthered their choke hold on the scene. With "Girls With Candy Hearts" EP scheduled for a Valentine's day 2006 release, rocket on your stereo is a sure thing. They may be young, but their souls were born to boogie.
